In this episode I sit down with Rachel Lambert, the founder and CEO of BrainCode Centers, and I'll be honest — I was fascinated from the moment I met her. Rachel has a real heart for brain health, and her own story is what pulled her into this work. As a teenager she was impulsive and getting into a lot of trouble, until her parents asked her one honest question: "Do you think before you act?" That question, and a brain map that showed her frontal lobe "going 120 miles an hour with no brakes," changed the entire direction of her life.
We talk about what neurofeedback and brain mapping actually are — think of it as PT for the brain — and who this kind of work can help, from anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, and sleep issues to peak performers who just want to keep up with a full life. I even did a brain map myself, and we recorded this conversation in her office right after I got my results, so you'll hear me processing some of it in real time (candles, supplements and all).
Rachel is also raw about the harder parts — building one of the largest neurofeedback practices in the country with no business background, managing 50 employees, learning social media she didn't love, and rediscovering her purpose after moving to Tulsa away from her team, family and friends. Founder & CEO, BrainCode Centers
Rachel Lambert is the founder and CEO of BrainCode Centers, one of the largest neurofeedback practices in the country. Originally based in Denver and now also in Tulsa, she holds an undergraduate degree in psychology and neuroscience and a master's in clinical mental health counseling, and is a licensed therapist and board-certified in neurofeedback. After a personal, life-changing experience with brain mapping and neurofeedback as a teenager, she has spent about fifteen years helping people get to the root of their mental health through brain-based, individualized care.
